The Bank Job

Twisted kindly pointed out a couple of news articles here and here about the movie currently being shot in London.

From Obsesed With Film:

"The movie will tell the true tale of the legendary heist which took place in 1971 and has never before been told because of a gagging order that the Government placed on the events for over thirty years.

The film promises to tell exactly how it went down and how they got away with it as strangely enough…. no arrests have ever been made or money recovered from the robbery.

Preferred the previous title Baker Street but I’m still looking forward to this thing.

Since October, some interesting British names have signed up for the flick that include David Suchet, Saffron Barrows, James Faulkner and the cute Keeley Hawes".

From icNewcastle:

"Clement and Whitley Bay-born La Frenais have been keen to make a film based on the unsolved crime for a long time . . . but a Government gagging order prevented anyone from writing about it for more than 30 years.

The order, known as a D Notice, has now been lifted, giving the green light to the £20m movie, which is currently being shot in London and will star Saffron Burrows, Jason Statham, David Suchet, Colin Salmon, Keeley Hawes and a host of other top actors."
