More information on Mutual Friends

The Sun has an article on "Mutual Friends"

In Mutual Friends, they (Marc Warren and Keeley Hawes) play couple Martin and Jen whose happy life is thrown into disarray when he discovers that one of his best friends slept with his wife.

Comic Alexander Armstrong plays Martin’s womanising mate Patrick.

Martin’s life is shattered when one of  his pals commits suicide leading to a disastrous sequence of events.

It will be filmed very shortly and is likely to be shown next year.

BBC Press Office gives more details on "Mutual Friends"

The full article can be found here

However, here are some of the details:

Martin has two best friends, Patrick and Carl, who couldn't be more different. One is an irresponsible, unreliable, feckless womaniser, and the other is dead.

Guess which one slept with his wife?

Martin Grantham is happily married to Jen. They have a son Dan, a nice house, the works. One day his best friend Carl throws himself under a train, setting off a disastrous sequence of events that will change Martin's life forever...

Into this mess steps Patrick, a friend from way back. Patrick is everything Martin is not – glib, self-confident, popular and pathologically immature. He's the last person Martin needs in his life right now. Or is he?

It's not a matter of life and death; it's much funnier than that.

Marc Warren, Alexander Armstrong and Keeley Hawes are Mutual Friends, a new comedy drama for BBC One

Marc Warren (Hustle, Dracula) is Martin; Alexander Armstrong (Life Begins, Armstrong & Miller) is Patrick; Keeley Hawes (Spooks, After Thomas) is Jen.

Keeley to be in BBC1 comedy drama

Either Keeley Hawes is going to be very busy or some of the rumors are not true. This one, however, has been found at two different sites.

Keeley Hawes is to join Marc Warren in BBC1 one-off comedy drama. Interestingly, it will be called Mutual Friends (not to be confused with Our Mutual Friend in which Keeley also starred!)

Warren will play Martin Grantham, who is married to Jen, played by Keeley Hawes. When Martin’s best friend Carl throws himself under a train, it sets off a disastrous sequence of events that change Martin’s life forever.

This is to be shown later this year.

Death at a Funeral update

Death at a Funeral update

There has been a lot of reviews and news on Death at a Funeral, but there is one bit of bad news. For some reason Death at a Funeral nationwide release has been delayed to August 17, 2007 rather than the previously announced June 29th. This, despite the commercials that have been airing on US television.

There may be a new poster, as well. See the image below.  It was found at a Kansas City free screeing site.
