Synopsis: A follow up of the ITV series Upstairs, Downstairs which aired in the 1970's.  It takes place in pre-war London. The new series takes up the story six years after the original left off in 1930, Rose (a parlour maid from the original series) makes an emotional comeback to the London townhouse to serve the new family, under the steely Lady Agnes Holland.

The second series aired on BBC1 in early 2012, sadly the BBC have opted not to make a third series. Series 2 has yet to air in the US.  Fans have set up a 'twitition' to try and save the show, if you'd like to sign it you can find it here.

BBC Costume Drama now has a name: Upstairs, Downstairs

The Mail Online has revealed the name of the BBC Costume Drama which Keeley mentioned recently.  Upstairs, Downstairs was a hit in the 70's but will be undergoing a revival for the BBC.

The 34-year-old leads a stellar cast for the lavish new series, set in pre-war London and promising a plot ‘shot through with sensuality’. The beautiful and ambitious Lady Agnes Holland will be played by Keeley Hawes and will be responsible for the running of 165 Eaton Place.
